Each representative in GYC serves two-year terms upon election by their peers. The legislative body is made up of representatives from Guams high schools and villages and can make its own rules, establish committees, and pass resolutions and bills that are then transmitted to the Guam Legislature.

As one of UOGs three GYC representatives, I have the great opportunity to work with our other representatives Al Labang and Prairie Garrido and to be the voice of us Tritons and bring positive change to our university and all of 勞喝疇堯硃紳, Flores said.

During his term, Flores plans to work toward making changes in four main areas: revitalizing Guams culture and language, furthering the islands decolonization efforts, promoting environmental sustainability, and empowering the youth and community.
