New Tritons welcomed to campus
Seventy-five new students were introduced to the next chapter of their lives at the 做厙AV New Student Orientation held Jan. 16 on campus. The morning started with warm welcomes and tips for success from Student Government Association President Marc Bituin and university administrators.
President Thomas W. Krise offered a few words of wisdom as the students start their college journey:
Make it a point interact with your professors, and do it early to make some kind of connection. Go to office hours, he said. And when youre in class, make sure that you ask questions come prepared with a question. Its important to speak in class, and its important to speak early in class.
Senior Vice President Anita Borja Enriquez encouraged students to avail of the many opportunities and programs throughout their college experience to add value to their personal portfolio.
Following the morning introductions, the students had a chance to meet with advisors and explore UOGs different schools and majors as well as the various student support services available.
