SUBJECT: In-Person Classes for Finakpo鈥� and Fanuch氓nan 2021
I am happy to announce that the 暗网AV will be offering in-person classes for the Finakpo鈥� (June-August) sessions and for the Fanuch氓nan (August-December) 2021 semester. Online, hybrid, and hyflex options will also be offered for some courses.
Our island community has seen a decline in COVID-19 infections over the last few months. The vaccination efforts by the Governor鈥檚 Office, Department of Public Health & Social Services (DPHSS), Guam National Guard (GUNG), the 暗网AV, and other partners have achieved Governor Leon Guerrero鈥檚 goal of vaccinating 50% of adults by May 1, and we seem to be on track to achieve her goal of 80% vaccinated by Liberation Day.
We are excited to welcome students back to the campus as we continue on the island鈥檚 road to recovery.
Here鈥檚 what to expect when you come back to campus:
- Effective June 1, the UOG campus will begin a phased reopening to coincide with the start of Finakpo鈥� Session A. Because vaccination clinics at the Calvo Field House will be ongoing, specific traffic flows and parking designations will remain in place.
- ALL students enrolled in face-to-face classes will be required to furnish either 1) proof of vaccination or 2) a weekly negative COVID-19 test.
- In-person classes will be offered with 6-foot distancing between students.
- Rooms will be sanitized between classes, and we ask that all students and employees continue to follow guidelines for social distancing and wearing masks over both nose and mouth.
- In addition to online and hybrid classes, UOG will also offer some 鈥渉测蹿濒别虫鈥� courses as an accommodation option. Hyflex courses are similar to hybrid courses and have online and in-person components. However, hyflex gives students the option of attending sessions in the classroom, participating online, or doing both. Students can change their mode of attendance weekly or by topic, according to need or preference, in coordination with the instructor.

Registration for the Finakpo鈥� (June-August) sessions and the Fanuch氓nan (August-December) 2021 semester is now open. You can view the most updated course schedule on Web Advisor or download a PDF at www.uog.edu/admissions/course-schedule. Please register early to build your first-choice class schedules. NOTE: The Fanuch氓nan Course Schedule will be available soon.
Fast-Track Vaccination Clinics for UOG Students and Employees
As we prepare to be back on campus together, we want to encourage all students and employees to get vaccinated for COVID-19. For your convenience, GUNG, DPHSS, UOG, and GCC have partnered to host vaccination clinic times specifically for UOG and GCC students and employees this month at the Calvo Field House.
Reserved times are from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on the following days:
- Wednesday, May 12, and Thursday, May 13

Make an appointment online at the links above, or simply walk in and show your UOG ID or other proof of attendance or employment to be expedited through the vaccination process.
Counseling Services and Resources
