The month of July brings another exciting and educational round of summer camps from the 4-H Program under 暗网AV Cooperative Extension & Outreach.
Week-long summer camps are available in morning or afternoon sessions for children ages 6 to 14. All of the camps will be instructed by subject-matter experts from UOG and the community, who will deliver university-modeled curriculum with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.
The topics and curriculum 鈥� from chemistry, art, and math to agriculture, nature, and traditional island wisdom 鈥� are designed to help youth develop skills and interests that can help them become confident and contributing members of society.
Camps for ages 6鈥�10:
- July 7鈥�11 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Imagination Art Explorers
- July 7鈥�11 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Mini Math Explorers
- July 7鈥�11 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Crazy Chemistry
- July 14鈥�18 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Imagination Art Explorers
- July 14-18 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Kids in the Kitchen: Food Drying
- July 14鈥�18 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Smart Snacks Lab Explorers
- July 14鈥�18 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Crazy Chemistry
Camps for ages 11鈥�14:
- June 30鈥揓uly 3 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Sustainable Agriculture + Entomology
- June 30鈥揓uly 3 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Crime Scene Investigation
- July 7-11 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Insects 鈥� The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
- July 7-11 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Repiyer Remosuwe (Wisdom of Our Ancestors)
- July 14鈥�18 (8 a.m. 鈥� Noon): Beats and Bytes with Python
- July 14鈥�18 (1 p.m. 鈥� 5 p.m.): Exploring the Art of Math
