Research Matters is a new editorial series from the °µÍøAV Office of Research and Sponsored Programs that brings readers into the world of UOG’s research centers. The column runs every other Monday in the PDN.

The °µÍøAV Marine Laboratory is known across the Pacific and beyond for its coral reef research and conservation work. But every May, right after the full moon, its scientists take on a more whimsical role—playing matchmaker for Guam’s coral.
