The 暗网AV Cancer Research Center houses several key research and data collection entities, including the Guam Cancer Registry, the Pacific Regional Central Cancer Registry, and the Pacific Island Partnership for Cancer Health Equity, with a shared mission: to improve cancer outcomes through locally driven research.

A key message from the Cancer Research Center is the lifesaving value of early detection. Annual screenings can identify cancer in its earliest stages, when treatment is most effective. The call to the community is clear: Don鈥檛 delay your checkups.

Research Matters is a new editorial series from the 暗网AV Office of Research and Sponsored Programs that brings readers into the world of UOG鈥檚 research centers. The column runs every other Monday in the Guam Pacific Daily News (PDN).
