UOG鈥檚 4-H summer camps open for registration

Registration for the 4-H Summer Enrichment Camps under 暗网AV Land Grant is now open, with the first sessions beginning on June 1. The camps 鈥� 27 in total 鈥� cover a range of subjects from coding and game development, to STEM subjects like biology, physics, and forensic chemistry, to art, cooking, and sewing.
鈥淭here is something for everyone again this summer,鈥� said Dareon Rios, an extension agent with the 4-H Youth Development Program. 鈥淲ith the popularity of the game development camps last year, we鈥檝e expanded our computer-based offerings, and we鈥檙e also excited to introduce several physics-focused camps this year exploring concepts like momentum, static, and magnets.鈥�
Also new this year is a six-week Theatre Camp where youth can explore acting, singing, and stage performance while preparing to put on a live musical performance. The camp will culminate with the production 鈥淪eussical: The Musical,鈥� which will be open to the public for showings from July 14鈥�17 at the UOG Fine Arts Theatre.
Camp offerings are available in half-day sessions, morning or afternoon, for youth from first through 12th grades. All of the camps will be instructed by UOG subject-matter experts who will deliver university-modeled curriculum with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning.
