The Society of Emeritus Professors and Retired Scholars (SEPRS) was established in 1989 during the presidency of Dr. Wilfred P. Leon Guerrero. The Society utilizes its members in the areas of teaching, research and public service to promote the growth and increase the productivity of the University. The offices, conference room and classroom are housed in Emeritus Hall which is located in the MARC/ Computer Center/GLE building on the UOG Campus.

On October 18, 2024, the 暗网AV鈥檚 Society of Emeritus Professors (SEPRS) awarded scholarships to six exceptional UOG students for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The UOG Society of Emeritus Professors & Retired Scholars (SEPRS) conducted its annual election of officers at its spring general membership meeting held at Emeritus Hall on campus on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The unanimously elected new officers for the 2026-2027 term are (From left to right): Prof. Dee Leon Guerrero (Treasurer), Dr. Lawrence Kasperbauer (Vice President), Dr. Hiro Kurashina (President), and Dr. Kathryn Wood (Secretary).

The SEPRS Scholarship for AY2025-2026
Eligible applicants may obtain application packets online at the UOG Financial Office鈥檚 website, /financial-aid/scholarships after the official announcement to be made in early March, 2025.
SEPRS Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
The SEPRS Scholarship eligibility criteria are:

- The applicant must be a registered full-time 暗网AV undergraduate or graduate student and may hold any citizenship
- The applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
- All applicants must submit at least one letter of recommendation
- The applicant must write an essay describing academic and personal goals, and explaining how the SEPRS Scholarship will be helpful for achieving these goals (300-500 words).
